Too funny

After this she had a foot in each hand trying to put them in her mouth, but there's no picture to show. She cracks me up

Her little friend

To see if she's sleeping in the car I take a picture with my phone since we can't see her face.

Already driving...too bad she can't see the road
Trying out the swing

Tried the walker out this morning

Can she reach?

Not quite.

Comparison
1 MONTH

Natalia turned 4 months old this past week! Happy 4 month birthday Baby Girl. You shared your birthday with your Uncle Brian!

^ Here Natalia is with her Daddy. So cute. I love how her hand it out like that. She cracks me up.

What a weekend we had. I feel like we did a lot. Josh came home an hour earlier on Friday since he went into work earlier. We had an offer from Marcia to babysit so we took her up on the offer and went on a date. Josh had something special planned. We went on a scavenger hunt to places where we had our "firsts." It was so cute. He had these little riddles that would hint about our next destination. Some of the places were where we first saw each other, where he picked me up for our first date, where we went for our first date, where we first held hands, our first kiss, and I think one more place. It was very thoughtful. I scored me a sweetheart.

Saturday we went the in-laws, went grocery shopping at a couple stores, and then Natalia and Josh napped forever. They had like a 4 hour nap. I didn't know what to do with myself. I thought Natalia would wake up to eat any minute after a while so I worked out and didn't go anywhere. I also watched a new NY MED or whatever it's called. The show made me think about the conference talk by Elder Nelson titled Thanks Be to God  and how amazing the human body is and how great God is. Thanks be to God. Later, when Josh and Natalia finally woke up we went for a walk to the cemetery.

Sunday was great. Church was actually edifying since I hardly missed any of the meetings this time. Natalia fell asleep in the stroller on our way to church. When she woke up during sacrament meeting she played on a blanket and toys we laid on the floor for the rest of sacrament meeting. Josh took care of Natalia during Sunday School when she started to get fussy and wasn't hungry. After Sunday School I had planned to hang out in a cove by the Relief Society room to try to get Natalia to sleep in her car seat and snack on a granola bar since I missed breakfast. Grandma S came and sat next to me to have a snack to and we just talked. Then she asked if we should try going to Relief Society and she would sit next to me so that's what I did. Maybe I could get Natalia to fall asleep during Relief Society. Well Natalia ended up falling asleep, not in her car seat, but that's fine. I stayed for the entire lesson which I don't remember the last time I did that. I am so grateful for Grandma S. I feel she is a blessing from Heavenly Father. Even at her 80+ age she is still striving as much as ever to be the best she can be and learn all she can. Somehow she and I just click. Joking to Josh on a topic we've talked about several time, but somewhat meaning it, I said that even though I can't seem to make friends my own age, I seem to make them so much easier if they're 70 or older. Walking around the cemetery today I started thinking about the phrase in 130:2 that says "And that same asociality which exists among us here will exist among us there." I'd like to think that Grandma S and I were friends in the preexistence.

Anyway, the rest of Sunday was good. We went to my parents' house to celebrate Brian and my dad's birthday. Everyone got to spend time with Natalia which I thought was really nice. I especially liked hearing Natalia giggling so much when Brian was playing with her. I baked all day making muffins and a chocolate cake. My dad requested to have scones, fries, and grilled hot dogs for his birthday meal so we made those as well. My mom cut the potatoes, Josh made the scone batter, Brian and I rolled out the dough, and Josh fried everything. I forgot about the hotdogs, but my parents just heated their own. Brian and I made a healthy pasta dish so we'd have something else besides fried good. I think it was one of our best meals. Fried food is pretty dang good. Everyone liked it. I think the cake turned out well too.

Well, Natalia is napping so this is my time to workout. I'll post her 4 month pictures, all of them. I didn't want to decide on just one.

Natalia is growing more and more in every aspect each day. She is such a bright baby. She can do more and more physically each week. Last week she started to roll over from her tummy to back. She really likes tummy time and is doing better at moving/scooting forward little by little. She is good at grabbing things now and putting everything in her mouth. She has a fascination with water. Natalia is a very happy baby. She loves to be sung to and is very playful. I sure do love my Baby Girl. I don't know if she's teething yet or not. Last week was rough week for sleep, but last night all got a full night's rest. Well I must go. Workout time also equals watch Bachelorette (sp) time and I am anxious to see what happened.

Hello Natalia! This week went by so fast. Last Saturday celebrated Grandma's birthday at Tucanos. It was fun, but I think Mommy's done going there forever, or until Daddy's birthday next year. Anyway, Mommy never posted the pictures so that's why I brought up last Saturday.

So we've had a fun week this week. We went on long walks, weeded, got caught up on laundry, went to the Farmer's Market, and even had visitors. I think you liked the Farmer's Market because you LOVE to be outside. We love it too. We bought some corn from the Bangeter Farm since they are from Bountiful and Mommy knew some Bangeters before you were born. I'll tell you about that someday. On Friday you and I visited our friends that we visit weekly and on Saturday WE LEFT YOU  WITH A BABYSITTER! (Our special friends we visit every week) M thought it would be good for Daddy and I to go on a date so we tried it out. Mommy was very nervous. I even cried on the way to Adam's Canyon, where Daddy and I went after we dropped you off. I called when we got there and you were just fine. Everything went well and I think we all had a blast. You had your very first bottle at the Smith's and M said you downed it with no problem. Mommy and Daddy were so happy that you were just fine.

Let me tell you what Daddy and Mommy did on our date. First, we started to hike up Adam's Canyon. It started to rain, though, and we could see 2 walls of rain in the distance headed toward us so we decided to go somewhere else. We stopped by the house, grabbed our umbrellas, and went to the pond across from the Farmer's Market. We walked around and just spent time together. After we went to Pa's Ice Cream, got 2 chocolate covered strawberries and then headed to Dylans. At Dylan's we shared a salad and then enjoyed our strawberries. Mommy and Daddy had so much fun. I think you had so much fun too and I can't tell you how happy I am that everything went well with you. I was worried over nothing. The kids enjoyed you too.

Well, that's all Mommy is going to write for now. I love you so much! You are getting so big! You had started to purposely inch forward when we put you on your tummy instead of doing it out of frustration. You are such a cutie. Today it sounded just like you copied the sound that Daddy made and later copied what Mommy said. It'd be cool if you did. We love you Baby Girl.

Oh yeah, Daddy told me that yesterday you discovered your hands! He took you on a long walk in the morning so I could try to sleep more. He said you looked at your hands as if realizing they belonged to you. You would put a hand in front of you, stare at it, and move your fingers around. Good girl. Yep, those belong to you.

Here you are helping Mommy with laundry. You liked to grab the clothes. Even when I moved you further away you would still reach for the clothes.

Sleeping while holding your hands

We thought this looked pretty
We were trying to take a picture of the walls of rain coming toward us in the distance.

You kept moving forward this morning. We thought it was so funny

This is a video I took recently today on my phone. The quality is REALLY bad and it's dark because Natalia was going down for a nap. She's started talking a lot lately and it's the cutest thing. Sometimes when she starts to get a little fussy it seems like she remembers she can talk and talks after a second of fussiness. Hopefully church goes well tomorrow.

Natalia has started to sleep in her bed for naps. I think she knows it's her bed and that's where she wants to go when she's tired. What a smart baby. We didn't even do anything to train her to go to sleep on her own. I was concerned about how to get her to fall asleep on her own since we used to hold her to go to sleep. A month ago she would fall asleep after nursing and whenever I put her down she'd wake right up. She would only sleep while I held her. Then gradually I started to wrap her tight while I was holding her instead of wrapping her on the bed. That seemed to help and I still do it sometimes, but now if she's tired I can wrap her while she's awake, put her in her bed, rock her for a little if she needs it, give her her pacifier if she wants it, and she goes asleep. Thank you Natalia for doing what I didn't know how to do. I've heard of several parents who let their babies cry it out to fall asleep on their own and I wasn't ready for that. I don't think I would've done it now anyway. You are the best.
Yesterday Natalia woke up early and just kept talking and talking in bed. Josh was still sleeping and I didn't want to wake him up so Natalia and I went downstairs to hang out. I was so tired though so to help keep me up we ended up just going for an early morning walk. It was still chilly so I wrapped up Natalia nice and warm. She looked so cute and was really happy. Look at the eyes, so pretty. She fell asleep during the walk so at least she got to sleep more. I love you Baby Girl.

My nephew was born yesterday. He is so cute! Natalia looked huge compared to him. He weighed an ounce more than Natalia at birth. I miss holding a little baby. They grow so fast. Anyway, he is adorable. He had the cutest little cry. It'll be fun to see Natalia grow up with her cousins.

Yay for babies!

The loves of my life

Met up with G-ma. Mmm, I filled up my frozen yogurt with raspberries and strawberries. So good.

I haven't had a nap all morning.
Just hangin' out

My first 4th!

Fine, I will smile. Stretch!
I like to grab my feet.

My mommy is so funny......Look at them pearly whites. I've been using the whitening trays Josh brought home from work and they're working.

Yay for family time.
Take 2

Take 3 and I looked down.
Reserved our spot the night before (out of order)

Mmm..Scoopolgy was my dinner. The cake batter ice cream was delicious.
I loved the 4th. Next year we are going to reserve our spots right at midnight when we're allowed to instead of that evening. We're also going to do the 5 or 10 K with Natalia. Woo hoo, I'm already looking forward to it. We might even stay up for fireworks next year instead of being in at 8.
