Natalia turned 4 months old this past week! Happy 4 month birthday Baby Girl. You shared your birthday with your Uncle Brian!
^ Here Natalia is with her Daddy. So cute. I love how her hand it out like that. She cracks me up.
What a weekend we had. I feel like we did a lot. Josh came home an hour earlier on Friday since he went into work earlier. We had an offer from Marcia to babysit so we took her up on the offer and went on a date. Josh had something special planned. We went on a scavenger hunt to places where we had our "firsts." It was so cute. He had these little riddles that would hint about our next destination. Some of the places were where we first saw each other, where he picked me up for our first date, where we went for our first date, where we first held hands, our first kiss, and I think one more place. It was very thoughtful. I scored me a sweetheart.
Saturday we went the in-laws, went grocery shopping at a couple stores, and then Natalia and Josh napped forever. They had like a 4 hour nap. I didn't know what to do with myself. I thought Natalia would wake up to eat any minute after a while so I worked out and didn't go anywhere. I also watched a new NY MED or whatever it's called. The show made me think about the conference talk by Elder Nelson titled Thanks Be to God and how amazing the human body is and how great God is. Thanks be to God. Later, when Josh and Natalia finally woke up we went for a walk to the cemetery.
Sunday was great. Church was actually edifying since I hardly missed any of the meetings this time. Natalia fell asleep in the stroller on our way to church. When she woke up during sacrament meeting she played on a blanket and toys we laid on the floor for the rest of sacrament meeting. Josh took care of Natalia during Sunday School when she started to get fussy and wasn't hungry. After Sunday School I had planned to hang out in a cove by the Relief Society room to try to get Natalia to sleep in her car seat and snack on a granola bar since I missed breakfast. Grandma S came and sat next to me to have a snack to and we just talked. Then she asked if we should try going to Relief Society and she would sit next to me so that's what I did. Maybe I could get Natalia to fall asleep during Relief Society. Well Natalia ended up falling asleep, not in her car seat, but that's fine. I stayed for the entire lesson which I don't remember the last time I did that. I am so grateful for Grandma S. I feel she is a blessing from Heavenly Father. Even at her 80+ age she is still striving as much as ever to be the best she can be and learn all she can. Somehow she and I just click. Joking to Josh on a topic we've talked about several time, but somewhat meaning it, I said that even though I can't seem to make friends my own age, I seem to make them so much easier if they're 70 or older. Walking around the cemetery today I started thinking about the phrase in 130:2 that says "And that same asociality which exists among us here will exist among us there." I'd like to think that Grandma S and I were friends in the preexistence.
Anyway, the rest of Sunday was good. We went to my parents' house to celebrate Brian and my dad's birthday. Everyone got to spend time with Natalia which I thought was really nice. I especially liked hearing Natalia giggling so much when Brian was playing with her. I baked all day making muffins and a chocolate cake. My dad requested to have scones, fries, and grilled hot dogs for his birthday meal so we made those as well. My mom cut the potatoes, Josh made the scone batter, Brian and I rolled out the dough, and Josh fried everything. I forgot about the hotdogs, but my parents just heated their own. Brian and I made a healthy pasta dish so we'd have something else besides fried good. I think it was one of our best meals. Fried food is pretty dang good. Everyone liked it. I think the cake turned out well too.
Well, Natalia is napping so this is my time to workout. I'll post her 4 month pictures, all of them. I didn't want to decide on just one.
Natalia is growing more and more in every aspect each day. She is such a bright baby. She can do more and more physically each week. Last week she started to roll over from her tummy to back. She really likes tummy time and is doing better at moving/scooting forward little by little. She is good at grabbing things now and putting everything in her mouth. She has a fascination with water. Natalia is a very happy baby. She loves to be sung to and is very playful. I sure do love my Baby Girl. I don't know if she's teething yet or not. Last week was rough week for sleep, but last night all got a full night's rest. Well I must go. Workout time also equals watch Bachelorette (sp) time and I am anxious to see what happened.
