Today was a hard day for me. My body is beat. I am achy all over, my back hurts, everything hurts. My back hurts because I held Natalia all day at the Coombs' today because she wouldn't stay asleep when I would put her down. The rest of me hurts I'm sure because I need to get more sleep. I didn't nap yesterday when I should have and I paid for it today. It feels like I've been hit by a semi. I am definitely sleeping tonight when Natalia goes down for the night...well maybe I will. I was so glad when Josh came home today. We all had a good nap.

So today I went to my 6-week check up. It went well. I thought it was funny I was surprised my doctor remembered she didn't actually deliver Natalia. So many people commented on how cute she was. Natalia cried for probably half of the entire time we were there. I almost wished I had had someone tend her while I was there since I had just fed her, but I didn't think about it and I'd worry the whole time about how she's doing.

So we got a babysitter today, the shower. So I could have a long shower and Josh could try to fix someone's computer, we put her in her car seat and set it in the bathroom while I showered. After my shower I just left the water on and she slept for at least another 15 to 20 minutes, which is why I'm blogging. Josh has her now until I can feed her.

I am so excited about Josh's new job.

Today Natalia was blessed. For me, it felt like a momentous event. It was hard not to get choked up seeing all the men in the circle for the blessing. Becoming a parent has emphasized to me the real purpose why we are here on Earth, the importance of families, and how we are all sealed together. Witnessing the blessing today solidified that even more in my mind.

Here are the pictures from today:

We are grateful for everyone who came for the blessing. This is one of my adopted family members and has always been so supportive.

Our home is not meant to fit so many people, but it worked out.

My favorite foods were the Multigrain chips with the hummus. I ate after everyone was gone since I was up feeding Natalia while everyone was getting food.  I definitely overdosed on hummus today and am probably all hummused out for awhile. All I really ate today was mostly hummus, chips, an orange, and one and a quarter granola bars. I even had some donut holes...totally worth it. By the way, the Coombs came as well. We love them and everyone. They are another adopted family. So blessed.

Some of the men who were in the blessing circle, minus 2 I think. I wish my other brothers could've participated, but one is in Argentina and the other venturing to Florida for a summer job.

All the family who came by after the blessing, but this is not the whole family if that makes sense.

Another of my greatest supports growing up.

The grandparents plus great grandma.

This picture is classic. Josh's grandma has dementia so you know how that goes. In this picture she had commented on Natalia's complexion and asked where it came from. I walked up and Josh or his dad said it was from me. I think she also told me to keep my tan. It was a 'you had to be there' moment.

Cute. Our little family :)
Kate loves babies.

I love this.

Isn't she just the prettiest thing?

So cute.

Lookin' pretty good post-baby
These pictures are supposed to be rotated like she is sitting up.

So cute! The cute bracelet was a gift from Sarah and the headband came from the Coombs. You can't see the bracelet, but it's a cute flower Sarah made. The flower is worn as a bracelet at her blessing, in her hair on her baptism, and on the garter for her wedding. So sweet. We love the dress. We found it at Kid-to-Kid for $50.00. It's new. They have a little corner there with blessing dresses. She looks so adorable in it. My mom gifted the dress to us. So nice. The headband matched perfectly with the dress and bracelet. I can't get over how cute my baby girl is. She was so good during sacrament. She didn't cry once, pretty awesome for our second time going to church since her birth. We love you baby girl Natalia! Happy six weeks yesterday and happy blessing day! To make mention of your development, you are definitely smiling at us and others now. We love your smile. It is so contagious. You talk more and I LOVE hearing your voice. It is the cutest thing. I can't get enough of you. You are so adorable! We love you forever!
I love pictures. Going through our camera is like going through a story. I love it. The pictures bring back so many memories.

Natalia is 6 weeks old today! I didn't write that in the last post. We love her so much! Today's been a little rough for her, but hopefully tomorrow will be better. Anyway, we love our Natalia more than anything. She is growing more and more each day, literally. One night we put a new sleeper on her; it was a little too big. The next night we put the same sleeper on her and it fit her. We hadn't washed it so nothing could've made it shrink. To go on, Natalia is 'talking' more, it is so adorable. She is definitely smiling more and sometimes we are positive she is smiling at us. Natalia is very good at lifting her head. During tummy time she's even lifted her entire upper body with her arms! (only 1.6 times though) Natalia also has very strong legs. We've got a kicker (or dancer or whatever she wants to be) on our hands. Natalia is so beautiful. We get compliments from her all the time. Random strangers have come up to me to tell me how cute Natalia is. One of my favorite compliments is when people say, "Have you seen a more beautiful baby?" She really is adorable. I can't get enough of her. Tomorrow we are blessing our little Natalia. I feel a mixture of emotions, all good ones. I'm excited. I'm happy. I can't believe she is growing so fast. I am grateful. I feel blessed. I feel love from our Heavenly Father. I feel love for my Natalia. I feel so many things. Time really is going by so fast. Today I was looking in her room for a pair of pants to go with a shirt I want her to wear tomorrow. During my search I looked through a bag with ~18 month clothing. Looking at the outfits it was hard to fathom that Natalia would be big enough to fit into them, that she would grow up and be a toddler. I walked into Josh and my bedroom where he was with Natalia and showed him one or two of the outfits. I told him that it was crazy to think she would grow into them. To be honest, it makes me a little sad. I don't know how to explain why exactly. I've been around kids my whole life. I feel like it's sad when kids grow up. I think it's because I just miss their complete innocence when they are so young. I don't know why exactly, but it gets me choked up. Today Josh and I tended the Coombs'. Josh played soccer with the boys while I held Natalia and stayed by Millie. It was such a tender moment seeing how much fun the boys were having. I remember when "C" was so little and how he would laugh at everything. I could hear and see some of the way he would laugh as a toddler today when he was laughing while playing with Josh. "K" was having so much fun, trying his best to be his best at soccer. He was adorable. I wish I had brought my camera to capture some of these moments. As I watched "K," I thought about how much he's grown and just keeps getting older and older, as everyone else does. I don't know why I feel a little sad thinking about kids growing up, but it just does. Well, it's late and we still have to get things ready for amanha. Night.
My computer is fixed! It's been a great week and I've been doing pretty good on my goals, specifically on reading a chapter a day of The Book of Mormon to Natalia, reading with Josh, and portion control. I was doing well on walking everyday, but I started bleeding again yesterday and was hurting during the night so I've been taking it easy. I have been using technology while I've been feeding her, but that's okay. The reason I made the goal is because I wanted to spend more time talking to Natalia and on days where we are up and ready early, then I think it's okay if I indulge myself in my technology addiction. Anyway, listing the goals on this blog has helped me remember and keep them.

I'm going to be updating on a lot of the couple months on this blog, mainly through pictures, but that will come later.

Guess what?! Josh got a new job!!! Hooray!!! It's with this company, here. We are SO excited and SO grateful for the opportunity Josh has to work at Ultradent. We feel so extremely blessed. We feel the timing is perfect. Anyway, I'll write more later. Here are the past few months through pictures:
Taken the night before Natalia was born. Friday, March 16, 2012. My lower legs had started to swell a little. My belly is so large!
We took pictures in between contractions.
Dr. Hughes was the on-call ob that night and delivered our baby girl.
I loved this nurse! She was with us the both times in L&D.
This nurse had to hold in Natalia's head until the doctor arrived.
A gift from the Coombs. Mary and Sarah were the first ones to visit. They saw me in the delivery room right before I was transferred to delivery. I'd been keeping in contact with Mary the night before. We called Sarah when we were sent home from the hospital early in the morning and asked if she had any pain pills I could take because I was in so much pain.

Our first walk
Mmm look at the stud
The rest of the crew visited us at home. They even brought pictures!
Taken outside the in-laws.
I went up to shower close to midnight one night and came back down to this. How cute.
Josh got a picture of us napping when he came home from school. She was so little!
I love her little jeans! $2.50 at Target.
We went outside to plant a garden.
The girls sat/laid on a blanket while Daddy shoveled and hoed the dirt.
Before picture. I still need to take an after picture. We had to be somewhere that evening so we didn't actually plant the seeds.
Natalia's first time in a church dress. Daddy is being silly.
<3
We dressed her up in this "C" number to go for a walk on a chilly night.
1 month old!
