Happy 10 week birthday Natalia! You stopped smiling as soon as we pulled out the camera.
We love you so much! You have grown a lot! I miss how tiny you were and am reminded that time goes by too fast so we must live in the moment and love it. At your 2 month appt you weighed 10 lb. 9 oz., exactly 4 pounds more than your birth weight. I still remember your birth like it was yesterday. It brought so many happy emotions. Your birth was quite the excitement. We had all of the nursing staff helping in the delivery room.
We love you Baby Girl and know you will do grand things. You will be the oldest of your future siblings and with that I know you will be a great leader and example. I hope we will be best friends. I will do my best to always be there for you, support you, love you, teach you, understand, and be sure you KNOW that I love you. Your daddy loves you too and will do his best in all the above as well.
Natalia, you are already so smart and inquisitive. As you grow and learn, your parents do too, but in terms of how to care for you. This week I have learned how to tell if you don't want to eat, but want to sleep and need help falling asleep. It is rewarding to be in-tune with your needs.
One of your favorite activities is showering. We can't wait to take you
swimming someday. Here is a picture daddy took of you last night after
your shower.
I think you look a little like your Uncle Brent in this picture.
Here is another picture of you from Thursday night.
You were so tired. You cried a lot and we weren't sure what you needed. You fell asleep sucking your fingers, which usually means you're hungry. We are learning that when you are really tired, you just want to sleep and then you'll wake up later to eat, or sleep until you actually are hungry. You have been taking longer naps during the day. There was a day this week when you nursed like every one to two hours, but we think maybe you were going through a growth spurt. You also woke up during the night to nurse and I was worried it was going to be habit, but the past 2 nights you slept until 6 one night and 7 last night. Your mom was grateful. Well Loves, we hope you have a good snooze right now. We love you. Happy 10 week birthday!
